Catherine Gee’s garments are beautiful and timeless. Dressing the everyday woman to feel comfortable, confident, and cool is the essence of the brand. Her designs capture that perfectly.
After launching her all-silk brand in 2015, Catherine Gee became well known for her slip dress. Since then, her brand has evolved and now crafts printed blouses and dresses, sweaters, jackets, and more. While there is still a heavy emphasis on silk, the brand also uses luxe velvet and high-quality cotton in various bold prints for the designs.
Catherine Gee grew up surrounded by art. Her father was a landscape and wildlife painter, and her mother sang professionally in the Nashville Opera Group. As a child, she watched her father paint in his at-home studio nearly every day. The love and deep appreciation she continues to have for art overflows from within her and is evident in her designs, from the styles she creates to the fabrics and the prints she chooses.
Now based out of Santa Barbara, California, Catherine Gee’s style philosophy is to “dress to enhance yourself”. We love that line of thought. Staying true to yourself and to your own personal sense of style is the most important rule of fashion. When you wear clothes that feel like you and highlight who you are, it makes a powerful statement without ever uttering a word.
Confidence and strength are communicated as you step foot into any given room, not just because you feel good in what you have on, but also because what you have chosen to wear represents who you are on a deeper level.
